history
This historic home was built for the family of Frank Kellogg Austin, who owned F.K. Austin’s Cash and Carry grocery store. Members of the Austin family lived in the house until the 1950’s. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places due to it’s importance as an example of the Italianate architectural style. In the last decade the house’s residents allowed the public to enjoy the house’s unique architecture inside and out through Meme’s Teapot, a tea-room and cafe.
